Block Paving
Driveways, paths and parking areas laid to full depth with concrete edge restraints so they hold their shape.

Driveways and paths laid to last, not just to look good
Block paving fails from below. Skimped excavation, thin sub-base or missing edge restraints and you'll see rutting and spreading within a couple of winters, however smart the blocks are.
We dig to the correct depth, lay and compact MOT type 1, install concrete edge restraints, screed the laying course and compact the finished surface with kiln-dried sand for a driveway that holds its shape.
Our block paving process
A simple, transparent four-step process — so you always know what's happening and when.
Survey & levels
We check falls, drainage points, access and whether a drop kerb or permeable build-up is needed.
Excavate & sub-base
Dig to depth, remove spoil, then lay and whacker-compact MOT type 1 in layers.
Edges & screed
Concrete haunched edge restraints go in, then the sharp sand laying course is screeded flat.
Lay, cut & compact
Blocks laid to pattern, cut cleanly at edges, then vibrated in and jointed with kiln-dried sand.

Why homeowners pick us for block paving
Depth where it counts
Driveway build-ups are excavated to take vehicle loads, not scraped to save a day's digging.
Edges that hold
Haunched concrete restraints stop the classic spreading and sinking at driveway edges.
Drainage designed in
Channel drains, permeable build-ups and correct falls keep water off the house and out of the road.
Patterns and borders
Herringbone, stretcher or basketweave with contrasting borders and clean, machine-accurate cuts.
- Herringbone, stretcher and basketweave
- Full-depth excavation and sub-base
- Haunched concrete edge restraints
- Permeable and SuDS-compliant options
